Does anyone wear one or do you just wear a lefty and righty?  If you have the full body, where did you get it? The only one I can find is Leon Paul's and its pretty pricey....

    Thanks!!!

    Greetings Stuart,

    Welcome to the DFA!

Look for an inexpensive "reversible club style" plastron or a full body plastic plastron. I purchased a full body plastic model for around $18.00 off Ebay.

When you refer to the full body plastic plastron are you talking about the plastic chest protectors that are available from most fencing vendors or something different?

If you are talking about the plastic chest protectors, are they required to fence with the daggers? (personally I find them to be extremely uncomfortable and would prefer to opt out of wearing one)

Instead of a full body cloth plastron can I simply wear two standard half plastrons, one on each side?

Finally I am planning on attending the Jacksonville event in Jan. 2012. I have signed up for the USFA event on AskFred. Where do I sign up for the DFA event?

    Thanks

    Ryan,

Yes, you can wear 2 standard plastrons. A plastic chest guard is not required but many prefer to wear it over the plastrons for extra protection.

As for the Jacksonville event we are working with the bout committee on registration and should have an answer back very soon. ASKFRED has informed the DFA that it is cost prohibitive to add "DAGGER EVENTS" to their website so we will decide on a work around OR post the event registration and results on the DFA website. As for the cost to register for the DAGGER event it will not change from the posted $20.00 fee!

    Will keep you posted!
